Is Infinity Painters a painting company, or something else?
We're a free matching service, not a painting company. When you submit a quote request, we match it to one vetted local painter who does the actual work. That painter quotes and delivers the job directly.
Does it cost anything to get matched?
No. Submitting a free quote request costs nothing, and there's no obligation to book with the painter we match you to.
How fast will I hear from someone?
Typically within a business day or two. Response times depend on the painter's current workload and how you've described the job, so add detail in the notes field if it's time-sensitive.
Will I get calls from multiple painting companies?
No, that's the main difference from a typical comparison site. Each enquiry goes to one matched painter, not a shared list sent to several companies at once.
What areas do you cover?
Currently Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, Dunedin, Napier, and Nelson, plus the suburbs around each. Submit a quote even if your exact suburb isn't listed; coverage keeps growing.
Do you cover both residential and commercial jobs?
Yes. The free quote form asks whether the job is residential or commercial early on, then shows the services and job details relevant to that type of property.
How accurate will the quote be if the painter hasn't seen the property?
The details you provide (area, condition, access, materials) let a painter give a realistic estimate, but most jobs still need a site visit to confirm the final price, especially for exterior or roof work where condition matters a lot. Your matched painter will explain their process when they get in touch.
My house was built before 1980. Does that matter?
It can, particularly for exterior work. Homes built before 1980 sometimes have lead-based paint in older layers, which changes how a painter approaches sanding or paint removal. Mention your home's age in the notes field so it's factored in from the start.
What if the painter I'm matched with isn't a good fit?
You're never obligated to proceed. If the match doesn't work out, submit a new enquiry and we'll look at matching you with a different provider where one's available.
